Glucosamine supplements 'do not reduce' chronic knee pain

I take glucosamine, chondroitin and msm combined into one capule (2 a day) for OA hips. It was recommended by an orthopaedic surgeon. He told me to purchase it over the internet as Superflex 3, as the glucosamine I was taking on prescription was rubbish and of very poor quality. I couldn't walk without pain and a limp 4 years ago, but I have no difficulty now. It's not knees, but I wonder what the quality of the preparation was in this trial..... and yes there are 2 more ingredients in mine.
