NMC set to decide today on fee rise consultation

Comment

Apparently the NMC doesn't own its HQ buildings (doesn't account for the cost of its satellite offices in three other London locations). I remain convinced that the NMC should leave London and move to somewhere in the provinces. I have suggested Nottingham before now because that is an area that is acknowledged as being relatively cheap in terms of property etc. The fact that it is also closer to the centre of the UK despite being less than two hours out of London by rail should make it a no-brainer to everyone bar those who would lose out. We hear every week about jobs being lost or companies relocating, its about time that the NMC was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century and realise just what it is like in the real world of operating to a budget.
