Many patients dismissing mini-strokes as just 'funny turns'

My mother had an actual small stroke which was dismissed by paramedics as a ' "mini-stroke" for which she did not need to go to hospital.' I forced her to see the GP as she had residual symptoms and the stroke was diagnosed. She has since dismissed symptoms twice because she "does not want to call out those nice ambulance people" It is not just the public missing things but professionals too which is even more crucial I think.
