Nurses and midwives complete four-hour strike over NHS pay


The RCN wasn't going to ballot it's members after the result of the pensions ballot. It would have been a waste of money because they wouldn't hit the 20% threshold. Less than 10% of Unison's eligible membership voted for action- they had a majority of those who voted, but did they really have a mandate??
