Raft of councils seek public health nursing revamp

Might be exciting if redesign was about improving services but the reality is it is about saving money and having to do 'more' with 'less'. National and Local Government, but especially National Gov steering funding for issues that affect our whole society, need to recognise that you get what you pay for. Public Health requires funding as an investment in the future of our society as well as 'now' benefits. Of course the same can be said for the wider 'Health' Service and also Social Care. "Austerity" is a political choice and the impact of what our politicians choose to finance (and how much finance they choose to provide) has major implications on both the current and the future health of people in our country.
