Headline

Exclusive: Placement cash 'too late' to drive large student rise

Comment

Locally in Derbyshire we had already more than doubled the number of mental health nurses and increased the number of adult nurses considerably for September 2017 over and above last year’s numbers of course 🙂. This had all been done in partnership with Derbyshire placement providers ahead of this announcement in a planned and safe way and we had already recruited the students at the time of the announcement of increased placement funding for placement providers. Therefore, the promise of increased placement funding to support this for Derbyshire NHS Trusts and other placement providers is very welcome.
