NMC email glitch may have fuelled hundreds of registration lapses

interesting article. i was investigated by the NMC last year. it took over 2 years for my case to complete and it was "no case to answer". i have always paid my fees by direct debit for as long as it has been possible but for some reason they did not take payment during the investigation,but no reminder was sent. so now i am (not found) on the register. i am unable to continue in a profession i loved working in for 35 years, the NHS has lost a hard working nurse.
