'Why don't my friends treat nursing seriously?'
Hey! I’m going into my second year of uni studying nursing and I absolutely love. Choosing to study Adult Nursing was the best decision I have ever made (I’m 22). You don’t need to convince them that nursing is a serious and valuable profession as it is renowned for it. Nurses are there when babies are born and we are also there when a person puts their head on their pillow for the last time and we are there when their last breath is taken. We save lives and help improve them too. We are an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. We comfort families and friends. It takes a strong person to train as a nurse and you should be proud of yourself for starting your journey. I cannot stress enough about what an amazing career path you have taken, it’s tough but it’s worth it. Wait until you get into placement and start making friends with people on your course. You should feel a lot better then. There’s always people who don’t appreciate things, but as long as you stay true to yourself then none of that matters. Good luck with your training ❤️❤️
