Continence pad provision: meeting patients’ fundamental care needs


In some areas of the country families have to purchase their own products, as there is a waiting list to be assessed by a continence advisor and Districts Nurses do not have any products to provide to those in need in the interim. Appalling situation when most in need and vulnerable, what does this say about providing person centred care and maintaining dignity?
