Review questions use of dipstick testing in young children

Dipstick testing is more effective for diagnosing urinary tract infections in children over two years than younger children.

This is the conclusion of a systematic review conducted by Japanese researchers.

The review included six studies comparing urine dipstick testing in infants versus older children and urine dipstick versus microscopy.
