Nurses star in Kent recruitment campaign

Two Kent nurses are starring in a campaign to recruit more qualified nurses to work in the community.

As previously reported, Kent Community Health NHS Trust has launched a recruitment drive to find nurses to work across its 12 community hospitals and in the wider community.

The trust has now launched a series of adverts featuring two of its staff. Ward Manager Cara Smith and Nurse Julie Hill, who both work at Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital, star in the campaign alongside four-year-old Hope Heward, from Sheldwich, near Faversham.

Lesley Strong, deputy chief executive and director of adult services, said: “Patients are at the heart of everything we do, but we cannot give our patients the care and attention they need and deserve without the dedication of our staff. Our nurses play a pivotal role in our organisation.”

The trust is holding a recruitment fair at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge on the morning of 25 May.
