Scottish nurse wins service to community award

  • Comment

Professor June Andrews, director of the University of Stirling’s dementia services development centre, has received an award from the British-American Project – of which she is a member – for her service to the community.

The transatlantic group, created in 1985 to maintain close links between the US and UK, is made up of 1,000 leaders and opinion formers.

Professor Andrews said:  “As a nurse, and a Scottish woman, it is quite something to be recognised in that cohort of leaders.”
