School of Nursing Midwifery and Health offers academic fellowships

The School of Nursing Midwifery and Health is inviting applications for clinical academic fellowships.

The fellowships will be based at one of three campus locations; Stirling, Highland or Western Isles.

The school say they are keen to recruit healthcare professionals with vision and drive and who aspire to have a career within higher education.

The clinical academic fellow awards will cover tuition fees to home/EU level and will additionally provide a living allowance (stipend), currently £18300 plus the cost of academic fees of £1700.

Overseas students are eligible to apply, but will be liable to pay the difference between home/EU fees and overseas fees.

In addition to studying part-time over 5 years for a PhD at the university, clinical academic fellowship holders will have the option to complete the PG certificate in teaching and learning in higher education.

The clinical academic fellowships are expected to commence in spring 2011.
