Helen Thomson, director of nursing and deputy chief executive at Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust, will be interim chief executive of the trust for around a month, it has been announced.

Ms Thompson will take over control during April, filling the gap between current chief executive Diane Whittingham and new appointment Owen Williams.

Ms Whittingham is due to leave at the end of March while Mr Williams, currently chief executive of Calderdale Council, will not take up his post with the trust till May.
