The Royal College of Nursing’s new library and heritage centre was opened today.
Housed at the college’s London headquarters, it is the largest nursing-specific library in Europe and is open to the public as well as RCN members
The new centre provides access to the RCN’s historical print collection, which includes rare and old books and journals.
Facilities also include a quiet study area, a bookable seminar room and a new nursing history collection space, as well as an extensive e-library.
Peter Carter, RCN chief executive and general secretary, said: “This is an incredibly valuable resource for nursing staff and for those wanting to find out more about nursing.”
