  • Comment

Tameside Hospital has appointed a new director of nursing.

John Goodenough, who is currently deputy director of nursing at East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, will take up the post this summer.

He replaces Philip Dylak who is leaving the trust after 12 years to take up a research and development post with Manchester University and NHS development organisation AQuA.

Mr Goodenough has more than 20 years’ nursing experience and was responsible for spearheading East Lancashire Hospitals’ successful entry in the 2011 national Measurement for Improvement awards.

He will join Tameside as it launches new plans for dementia care.

“John is passionate about nursing and nursing care and will bring a fresh approach and new ideas to the hospital,” said chief executive Justine Green.
