Nurse appointed head of private hospital

Spire Liverpool Hospital has appointed Alison Peake as its new hospital director.

Ms Peake has spent almost 40 years working in clinical services, of which her first 20 were spent in the NHS.

She subsequently joined the private sector being promoted to director of nursing and then head of clinical services.

In her new role she will be responsible for the overall management of Spire Liverpool Hospital, which employs over 230 clinical, nursing and administrative staff. Its services include cosmetic, general, and orthopaedic surgery, ENT and physiotherapy. 

Ms Peake said: “I am delighted with my new role and I am looking forward to leading the hospital.  

“In particular, I’m excited about continuing to expand the range of services the hospital offers and assessing the latest state of the art treatments.”
