Sexy nurse calendar causes complaints to NMC

The NMC has received a string of complaints about a calendar reportedly featuring sexy NHS nurses.

The 2009 calendar, reported in the News of the World, features scantily clad women that it claims are nurses.

The NMC said it could only act if the women were identified and found to be on its register.

A spokesperson said: ‘Nurses are expected to uphold the good reputation of their profession at all times.

‘This is clearly stated in your Code of Conduct and failure to comply may bring your fitness to practise into question.’

  • The publication is not healthy but in the country who don't care to make money by easy means everything is fair. When the people recommend too provide sex education for 5 years old kids, then this calander will not harm any body but just a warning should be displayed "for adults only"

  • What the hell is wrong with this exactly?

So what if they are really nurses?

Were they on duty at the time? Were they photographed on a ward lounging over a patient?

Will this calender in any way affect their ability to do their job?

Are nurses not allowed a personal life away from their career?

The people who complained need to get a life and hope they never need one of these nurses to save their life when they are all suspended.

And the NMC once again should be ashamed of itself and stop overstepping the boundary between proffessional and personal lives.
