Trusts are being asked for evidence that the new streamlined version of the troubled knowledge and skills framework is working.
The KSF career framework for NHS staff on the Agenda for Change contract was revised and re-launched in November last year following long term problems achieving full implantation of the original scheme, which was first introduced back in October 2004.
The NHS Employers organisation has said it is “keen” to find out the updated and simplified version – agreed in consultation with unions – of the scheme is working.
In a statement, NHS Employers said: “Eight months on from the publication of the NHS Staff Council guidance – Appraisals and Knowledge and Skills Framework made simple – a practical guide, we are keen to hear if organisations are using it and whether it is starting to make a difference.”
