Homecare provider Prestige Nursing has announced that it has acquired control of Elite Care (Scotland) Ltd for an undisclosed fee.

Established in 1984, Elite Care has regional offices in Dundee and Crieff and has developed a reputation for providing high quality care services across the Fife, Tayside and Perthshire region.

The Elite Care offices will join over 40 Prestige Nursing + Care branches.

Prestige employs over 100 people across the UK and has more than 3,000 nurses and care workers registered with it to provide homecare and healthcare services.

Jonathan Bruce, managing director of Prestige Nursing, said: “We are delighted to have reached agreement with the shareholders of Elite Care (Scotland) Ltd for the sale of their business.

“Prestige, like Elite, prides itself on the quality of its care, which is why the fit between the two businesses was so good,” he said.

“The acquisition also allows us to increase our share of the Scottish care market while reinforcing our strategy of acquiring well-diversified, high quality mid-market care providers,” he added.
