Each and everyone of ss prejudice and have a tendency to sterotype it is programme dinternally. That fine, the problem occurs when we open our mouth and say negative things or treat someone differently because of their ethnicity or culture. We need to have an understand of the culture and be culturally sensitive and aware. We should not let our feelings or thought prejudice or actions or behaviour. Painful as it may sounds I have seen this happens so many times

  • Comment on: 'So, why do you want to be a nurse?'

    Sandy Woodbridge's comment 30 August, 2011 10:29 am

intresting question. You would not go shopping with a shopping list. It is a about planning for the interview and not expecting to interview to know why you want to be a nurse. Some train nurse come for a job and do not read the Job description. When you ask them to tell you what they thoin they will be doing they say i have no idea, did not read the job description. Thye then want you to tell them. There I rest my case

If it was not for patients we would not have a job. We choose to do the work we do if the condition are too difficult for us to give kindness and compassionate. Then please find a job with less busy, where you can do your work and deliver the milk of human kindness. Having said that, I would like to know what the CQC will do about what they found out? they say a lot but do nothing. We need actions not words

    Sandy Woodbridge's comment 23 June, 2011 10:31 am

I agree with all of the above. However I would to say that leaders do not necessarily in a positon power. a Leader anyone in the organisation. However as a society we see leaders as the one at the top. 9 Food for thouight. And remember with followers there are no leaders!

I throughly enjoy the news letter. It is very informative and educational. However since you have started paying for subscription. i can no longer view some the articles, unless i subscribe to nursing time. Whilst I do not wish to subscribe to nursing time I would be happy to subscribe to nursing times .net in order to view the articles
