Right staff at Great Ormond Street time for you all to work to rule I think?!
Does Ms Morgan truly not grasp the concept that in fact this trust (like every Trust) probably owes their staff thousands of pounds in unpaid overtime?? Honestly the arrogance is astounding!
This to me says Nursing management weren't taking care of a member of staff who was known to be not coping. It was known he was struggling and under stress, it was known that he was working too many hours and not taking any breaks. This should have been addressed more robustly. This story should ring alarm bells for Nursing managers everywhere.
RIP to a dedicated Nurse.
Ha Ha let me see, shall I take my pension when I'm 55 or 65 - errr... no contest! I don't care if they imply I will have thousands more at 65, I would have been worked into an early grave by then!
She should claim damages from the NMC and the organisation she worked for, she has lost earnings because of an unsubstantiated allegation.
I wonder if she was in a union, because if so she would be entitled to free representation.
In my opinion if a screening programme is shown to save lives and lower the incidence of a particular disease in the population, then it's worthwhile. But yes of course patients should be informed of the pros and cons.
As for the NHS health checks, it's an opportunity for patients to discuss lifestyle changes they might need / like to make that they otherwise wouldn't have sought advice about.
