Scoliosis charities launch new websites

  • Comment

The Scoliosis Association (UK) and the British Scoliosis Research Foundation have launched informative and accessible websites dedicated to scoliosis.

SAUK and BSRF are the only two charities in the UK for this condition.

SAUK provides information and support for people with scoliosis and their families, and the BSRF funds research into causation and other aspects of scoliosis. The new websites provide the latest information about the condition, its treatment and research grants offered.

There are interactive elements, including videos and plenty of personal accounts, galleries and frequently asked questions tailored to all users.

Both sites link together, showing the charities’ close affiliation. From the fundraising page they both take you to the website for their joint fundraising venture, the Scoliosis Campaign Fund, which hopes to encourage more people to raise funds for scoliosis. Current events include the London 10K run, a trek in the Sahara and a Jurassic Coast walk.

The websites will be developed to turn the BSRF site into an invaluable research portal for specialists in the UK by expanding the news section and adding a membership area and forum to the SAUK site so that members can build an online community.
