Seminar shows breast options

  • Comment
Nurses from the breast reconstruction unit at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Sussex spent Valentine’s Day in an unusual way last week.

Along with other staff from the unit, they gave a seminar about breast reconstruction showing the options available after breast cancer surgery.

Breast care specialist nurse Aurea Ellis said: ‘Being diagnosed with breast cancer followed by sometimes months of treatment, and then being without a breast can have a devastating effect. Breast reconstruction can help to put you back together physically and emotionally.’
