The idea is one of five being developed by the RCN as part of its commitment to engage with chief nurses, directors of nursing and assistant directors under a project called Fresh Start.
The project will also see those in post given personal employment advisers and online policy briefings. It will be carried out by RCN nursing adviser in management Denise Kelly.
‘Being a nursing director is a challenging role,’ said Ms Kelly. ‘It is not just about developing your career – it is about developing your workforce and, if nurses contribute to the A–Z guide, they can help others to achieve this.’
