Children advised on mobile phone safety

  • Comment

The Welsh Assembly has issued health advice on mobile phones for school children, which recommends using texts instead of making calls.

Two leaflets – available electronically – offer young people and parents precautionary guidance on mobile phone use.

One leaflet is for primary school children and the other for secondary school pupils. Mobile phones use radio waves to send and receive signals and although current evidence does not link mobile phones to health problems, the advice for children is to limit their exposure in case any health concerns are found in the future.
