Marks and Spencer have raised over £1000 to send toys and DVDs to children at the Royal Free in Hampstead.
As part of their 125-year anniversary celebrations, Marks & Spencer’s Brent Cross branch raised £1,295 in aid of the hospital’s children’s ward.
Elizabeth Brennan, senior play specialist at the hospital, said: “We are always grateful when we receive donations. It not only makes us happy but it’s like Christmas has come early for the children.”
She added: “We’ve spent some of the money already on toys and DVDs and we will be looking to buy more for the children in future when the other toys have worn down.”
