Dear John, we don't actively moderate comments on stories so there is sometimes a lag time in identifying spam. My team are now doing our best to delete these particular posts. Unfortunately, each time we block or delete the source a new one springs up. Please bear with us.
Good point #spellcheckfail
Regarding the initial comment that our coverage is one-sided on the issue of revalidation, I would like to point out that we have, and will continue, to try and publish the views of those are not necessarily in favour of the new system.
See, for example, this recent letter: https://www.nursingtimes.net/opinion/thisis-a-blow-to-the-profession-and-most-of-all-to-patients/5091067.article?blocktitle=Letters&contentID=14116
Absolutely agree with you. Nurses in care homes are too hidden from view, in terms of policy and public awareness. They are effectively the frontline when it comes to dementia.
While we spend time trying to make the image that goes with each story as accurate as possible, it is not always possible to get a perfect picture in the timeframe needed before we publish the article.
Therefore, the images that go with some stories will be indicative of a theme.
However, myself and my team do try our best to source photos that fit each story as best we can.
