'How do I balance a heavy workload with having a social life?'

  • Comment

Can you advise this student nurse?

“All of my friends are studying other subjects, so they have a less intense workload than I do. I find myself getting very upset when they can all go out and I feel like I can’t because of how much work I always have to do.

“Whenever I do go out with friends I am constantly worried about wasting time and getting behind on my work and studies. I don’t know how I can enjoy time with my friends without worrying.

“My friends don’t understand how much work I have to do and get upset with me when I decline their offers of going out. How can I explain to them my situation?”
