Can you advise this student nurse?
“I’ve wanted to write for a while, but I’m terrified someone will identify me. For about a year now I’ve noticed that sometimes I hear voices and a sort of buzzing noise when no-one is around.
“I know that the voices aren’t real and they just say random things, it’s not like they tell me to kill people of anything, but I know that people would be scared of me if they knew.
“I’m studying children’s nursing and terrified to go see a doctor in case I get thrown off the course. Do GPs have to tell your university?
“It’s distracting sometimes but I swear it doesn’t affect my nursing skills! Am I safe to go to my GP about this without my university or placements finding out?”
