Survey will examine quality of continence training

  • Comment

The ACA with Glasgow Caledonian University are embarking on a study to identify undergraduate continence education that is currently available in UK.

The study will include a UK-wide survey of higher education institutions which run undergraduate nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and medical programmes. Another survey of recently qualified health care professionals will look at whether they felt their training in continence was adequate for clinical practice.

The Dunhill Medical Trust is funding this two year research project, which starts 1st March 2010.
