    Yes I agree with lots of the comments and the article itself. I am a mature 2nd year student and love going to my placements. I try and grasp as much 'hands on' experience as possible and shadow as many practitioners as possible to gain further knowledge and experience.

    I have a family to care for while studying and carrying out placements, so I ensure I have the right balance of work and play. I find keeping on top of things a must, because I don't want to fall behind, which will add to the stress of being a student nurse in the first place.

    Get the most out of your placements and take each day, week as it comes that way you are not overwhelmed.
