Swine flu leaflet will help those with learning disabilities

  • Comment

A leaflet with advice on swine flu has been created for people with learning disabilities.

North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus has produced an ‘easy read’ version of the Department of Health publication, in consultation with service user groups and people with learning disabilities.

Although no cases of swine flu have been confirmed in either North East Lincolnshire or Yorkshire and Humber, the trust wanted to be prepared.

Public health director Dr Tony Hill said: ‘We have robust plans in place to deal with the possibility of a pandemic and in this pre-pandemic phase we are continuing to develop them further.’
