  • Comment

A further seven cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the UK, bringing the total number who have been infected to 78.

Four of the new cases have caught the disease from infected people already in the country, with the remainder people returning from abroad.

One of the cases is in Northern Ireland, meaning Wales is now the only swine flu-free province in the United Kingdom.

Latest World Health Organisation figures show that 33 countries have reported 6,497 cases of H1N1 influenza A and 65 deaths.
