  • I have encouraged and supported my colleagues and other nurses I work with to say what they really think, trust each other,be honest about their limitations and feel comfortable doing so.We are just humans looking after other humans so its good to try and understand how the person on the receiving end of our care might feel and I remind my colleagues of that when things don't go according to plan.

  • I am trying to introduce, by my actions, a culture of kindness to my fellow colleagues. As I believe that people who feel valued and cared for are more likely to enjoy their work and pass that onto the patients, what ever stress we are under.
I am not being very successful, my attitude needs more adjusting than I realised.
