    this guy is an utter disgrace to the health sector. He and his party are the reason for low morale in the NHS.

    @Valerie.....hear hear!
    The NMC in my opinion is a joke nowadays. A scaremongering tactic to squeeze money out of us by unelected or undesired people. Get rid of them let us have Union to manage these political issues.

    I'm from overseas but I came straight after my A levels and trained here in London and stuck to my field! It's been a traditional way of recruiting and retaining great nurses....3 generations in my bloodline! We are committed to the field. Why change it? It worked so well!

    True degree? That's what's corrupting the nurse profession!
    Nursing is a vocation but regulatory bodies keep pushing and luring it towards academia to make it sound more professional! Keep ruining it! You'll end up with loads of certificates and no real ground skill. Oh wait, we already are seeing that!

    what will happen is the nhs will have less nurses coming into the trade and we'll end up recruiting from abroad.
    Heath care assistants will then be pushed to take on more responsibilities as qualified staff struggle to cope! Safety standards down the drain, quality out the window, commissioning standards not met, nhs is then again regarded as a failure and there you are, dear George has set the platform to say there's only one way out, sell-privatise the NHS!!
    we see right through this scam!
    How do I know? I AM a nurse and we cope with this rubbish everyday!!!
